Three Reasons Why Motorcycles Are Better Than Cars

It’s a bold, but true statement: motorcycles are better than cars. Here’s why.

They’re More Cost Efficient.

Motorcycle dealers have far better prices than car dealers, believe it or not. You can pick up a nice, new bike at a motorcycle dealership for less than $10,000. There’s no way you’d be able to pick up a new car at that price. Even many of the nicer Victory bikes you’ll find at high-end Triumph Victory motorcycle dealers are about the same price as a plain, standard, used car.

Plus, they’re incredibly fuel efficient. Any bike should be able to get you at least 30 miles to the gallon, and motorcycle dealers have smaller engine bikes that can even get triple digit mileage. This means that you’re not only saving upfront at the motorcycle dealership, but each and every time you go to the gas pump, too.

They’re Safer.

Distracted driving is the most common reason why people get into accidents. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it claims more than nine lives and causing more than 1,153 people to get injured every day. Motorcyclists, however, literally cannot get distracted. They must keep both hands on the bike to control, which means they can’t eat, drink, put on makeup, talk on the phone, or play with the stereo when they ride.

What’s more, a 2003 study by the National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) found that motorcyclists were either less at fault or not at all fault than a car diver 80% of the time. This means that motorcyclists aren’t dangerous — car drivers are.

They’re More Fun.

Which scenario sounds more fun? Driving across the country in a stuffy car, or riding the open road on a motorcycle, feeling the air whip all around as you hurtle down the highway?

Forget what you might have hard or thought. Motorcycles are much better than cars. They’re more affordable, safer, and more fun. If you agree or disagree, feel free to share your opinions in the comments. Great references here.
