You will need a jack, lug wrench, socket set, brake cleaner, brake fluid, new brake pads, and possibly new rotors.

Lift the Vehicle: Use a jack to lift the vehicle and secure it with jack stands. Make sure the car is stable before you begin working.

Remove the Wheels: Use a lug wrench to remove the wheel lug nuts and take off the wheels, providing access to the brake components.

Inspect the Brakes: Examine the brake pads and rotors. If the pads are worn down or the rotors are damaged, they will need to be replaced.

Replace Brake Pads and Rotors: Remove the caliper bolts and take off the caliper. Carefully slide out the old brake pads and insert the new ones. If the rotors need replacing, remove the old rotor and install the new one.

Reassemble and Test: Reattach the caliper and ensure all bolts are tightened. Replace the wheels and lower the vehicle. Before driving, pump the brake pedal to ensure proper pressure is restored.

Check Brake Fluid: Ensure the brake fluid is at the correct level and top it off if necessary.

Performing regular brake services keeps your vehicle safe and can prevent costly repairs down the road. If you’re unsure or uncomfortable with any part of the process, consult a professional mechanic.
